BIM Fleet Measures Financial Support

The Fishing Fleet Development Measure will see Government and EU funding of €25 million support a total investment of up to €95 million and will benefit vessels in all size categories and their skippers and crew, over the lifetime of the NDP. At present the following grant aid schemes are open for applications:

• Environmentally Friendly Fishing Gear and Fuel Monitoring Equipment Grant Aid SchemeSupporting the Introduction of Modern Second-Hand Vessels. Special Assistance for young Fishermen

Fishing Fleet Safety Grant
Under this scheme funding is available for safety equipment including the following:

• Life-saving appliances
  
• Fire Fighting Appliances
  
• Navigation Equipment
  
• Radio Equipment
  
• Structural fire protection
  
• Collision regulations
  
• Watertight integrity
  
• Occupational Safety
