Diesel Fuel Meter From Sonartron?? Outstanding Results!!!

Greencastle based vessel Giolla Na Mara has successfully completed sea trials with the new Diesel Fuel Economy Meter supplied and installed by Sonartron Limited.

Owner/Skipper Cathal Gillen is extremely impressed with the system, as it provides invaluable data to him in this time of high fuel prices.

The Diesel Fuel Economy Meter comes with two sensors, one for the fuel supply and another for the fuel return, providing extremely accurate readings to an easy to see display mounted in the wheelhouse. Also supplied is a digital engine tachometer that is dedicated for the Diesel Fuel Economy Meter, therefore proving your engine’s true RPM on the display, along with how much fuel is burnt per hour. A trip meter is also standard allowing for greater accuracy calculations.

Once you have told how the system how big your tank is, and when you fill up, you tell the display unit how much you added etc, therefore the sensors will continually monitor this and provide an up-to-date reading of the remaining fuel that is in the tanks, making the float gauge more or less redundant. All of this combined with speed input through your GPS, you can rest assured that with the Diesel Fuel Meter supplied and installed by Sonartron Limited, will help your vessel combat those high fuel prices.
