SmartFind S5 AIS SART



The new Smartfind S5 AIS SART is a manual deployment survivor location device intended for use on life rafts or survival craft, it meets IMO SOLAS requirements and is an alternative to a Radar SART.
Compact, easy to operate and deploy, the Smartfind S5 AIS SART is a portable device packed inside a quick release carry off bag for quick evacuation.

Smartfind S5 AIS SART transmits target survivor information including structured alert messages, GPS position information and serialised identity number. Once activated the Smartfind S5 AIS SART transmits continually for a minimum of 96 hours. An inbuilt GPS provides high speed position information to assist in quick recovery of survivors.

Whether wall mounted in the ships bridge or packed inside a survival craft the highly visible and buoyant carry case affords maximum protection.

S4 Rescue SART



The S4 Rescue SART offers proven reliability. Extremely simple to use the S4 Rescue can be operated even with gloved or wet hands. Its compact design makes it ideally suitable for packing in liferafts or as a carry off device according to SOLAS regulations.
The S4 Rescue is a 9GHz X-band Radar transceiver and has been designed for assisting air/sea ship or survival craft rescue operations in accordance with IMO, GMDSS requirements.

When a radar signal is received from a ship or aircraft, the S4 Rescue automatically transmits a response signal, which clearly identifies the survival craft on the radar screen by means of a stream of 12 in-line dots. Once activated the S4 will remain in standby mode for over 96 hours.

The S4 Rescue has been designed for reliable operation in the toughest of marine environments, in accordance with IMO GMDSS requirements.

R1 VHF Radio - Emergency 3 channel handheld GMDSS radio



The R1 Handheld VHF Radio is a cost effective fully GMDSS compliant VHF safety radio approved to ETS300, IMO, EU MED (Ships wheel), FCC and SOLAS regulations.
The R1 Handheld VHF operates on three channels Ch. 6, 13 and 16 only. It has been designed specifically for emergency usage. The R1 comes complete with a non re-chargable (5 year storage life, 12hour operational life) Lithium battery pack that must be replaced every 5 years (Part no. 84-100) or immediately after usage to comply with the GMDSS regulations.
A test battery is available ( Part no. 84-102) to enable annual GMDSS radio checks to be carried out without using the Lithium battery pack.
The R1 is 100% waterproof, bouyant and drop proof to cope with the toughest marine environments. offering all the features required in a safety or emergency radio at an exceptionally competitive price. This makes it ideal as a 'fit and forget' item as required by GMDSS legislation.

R2 VHF Radio - GMDSS and general use handheld VHF radio


The R2 VHF Radio is a fully GMDSS compliant VHF safety radio approved to ETS300, IMO, EU MED (Ships wheel), FCC and SOLAS regulations which can also be used for day to day communications.
The R2 is a flexible VHF radio solution that complies with all of the GMDSS emergency radio requirements when fitted with a Lithium Battery pack (Part No. 84-210) and also, through the option of a fitted re-chargeable Nicad Battery Pack (Part No. 84-211), can be used as a general usage handheld radio. A range of rapid and trickle chargers are also available for the Nicad Battery.
The R2 is supplied as a main body and antenna, with all accessories, batteries and chargers user selectable to suite individual requirements.
The R2 has 19 Simplex channels and the following operational functions; dual watch, scan memory, squelch, scan all, scan priority, tri-watch, ilumination control, 2.5W / 1W selectable transmission power.It is waterproof to 1metre and drop tested to cope with the toughest marine environments.
