This is the only sonar on the market that really deserves the title ”high frequency sonar”. With its class leading 164KHz it will give you an very detailed screen image, and detect fish even under most difficult water conditions. These are some of the reasons why we have sold over 70 KCH-3180 in Europe.

KCH-3180 will meet all your short distance fish finding needs, but have received a reputation for excellence when it comes to detecting mackerel, even under difficult sonar conditions. Feedback from our customers also tells us that this sonar is good for detecting pollock in shallow waters. Detection range for mackerel and pollock is typically 600-900 meters. The hull unit and transducer on this sonar are very robust, which means less probability for an expensive transducer replacement and less maintenance cost in general. The sonar can be tilted 90 down, and has a beam width of only 4. This beam width translates into longer range in shallow waters and less bottom and surface noise.
