Marport’s New Range of Acoustic Equipment

See bottom of page for special deal

Marport has many years of experience and background in acoustic marine equipment, being the world famous original “yellow egg people”.
Building on this foundation, Marport has released and is continuing to release a wealth of new products using vastly superior technology than other acoustic equipment suppliers.
This range is above and beyond anything else out there at the moment, its advancing all the time and Sonartron hope that Fishing Vessels will advance with the technology and not get stuck in the past. With up to 30 Sensors available, the more information a Fishing Vessel has, the better the Fishing it will do.

Sonartron have outlined only some of the sensors available in brief: please contact Sonartron for all your marine electronic requirements.

Tunnel Sensor

Marport’s new Tunnel Sensor is proving to be very popular among fishermen who see that technology is advancing in fishing and that recognize that the more technology you use the more information you will have.
The Tunnel Sensor combined with CommandView3 software provides critical information about the net, including the opening, both graphical and digital readouts, the footrope, the fishing going into the net and the fishing not going into the net.
The Tunnel also has options, which include the Pitch and Roll of the sensor, so you can see what the net is doing, and also Depth and Temperature options
This is a “wireless” system, once you have a Marport/Scanmar transducer and the CommandView3 software package that is all you need. No cable and no winch!

The Tunnel sounder can be used as a wireless sounder; it can be mounted wherever you want on the net.

Battery life of the Tunnel on constant transmission is over 30 hours.
Charge time of the Tunnel is 5-8 hours.

Hybrid Catch Sensor

The Hybrid catch sensor is able to transmit both Scanmar/Marport Frequency (40kHz) and Simrad/Wesmar netsonar Frequency (70kHz) simultaneously!
Meaning you no longer need as many eggs as before. Each Catch sensor can be individually programmed to your requirements. They are programmed either in-house at Sonartron or on the vessel, using Bluetooth technology, also meaning the egg casing does not have to be opened, meaning less down time, and no seals need to be opened.

For the Scanmar/Marport users Sonartron can also add in an option where the Hybrid Catch can display Temperature and Depth readings. In the same Egg!

Battery life of the Hybrid catch sensor is over 4 weeks constant transmission.
Charge time is only 5-8 hours.

Door Sensor

Marport Door sensors can providing information about spread, but also because of the technology being used options can be added into the Door Sensors, including, the Depth, which is critical as its real-time! Meaning you will see the depth changing as you shoot/haul and setup your gear; along with Depth you can add a Temperature option.
What is unique about these Door sensors is the fact that with Depth and Temperature options, two more options can be added; these options are Pitch and Roll!
Pitch and Roll are a must for a Fishing Vessel setting up his gear, as the options is display in 3D format on the CommandView3 software and will show you in 3D the movement of the doors, along with figure and degree gauges.
As always with the new Marport Sensors most options can be added via Bluetooth in-house in Sonartron.

Battery life of the Door Sensors with all the options is over 14 days on constant transmission.
Charge time is only 5-7 hours.

CommandView3 Software

Marport CommandView3 software is very advanced display interface, which provides the skipper as much information as he can handle. The software is always advancing and in development, both Marport and Sonartron have made critical changes and work closely together to get customization of the software to make it simple to use, simple to see and all information in front of you when you need it.
A unique feature that may interest you is Multiple Display. Meaning the CommandView3 software can be run on two or more monitors, therefore you can have different information displayed on each screen at one time and that also you are able to select different setting’s
For the different screens, an example of this would be using the Tunnel Sensor, and having different ranges, colours and gains on both displays!
Lat/long can also be interfaced in to the system and you will have this on the screen at all times, and also when you cursor a mark/fish or query it, the lat/long will be displayed.

All the above sensors no matter what options can be displayed in various ways on the CommandView3 software, including graphical, digital, scale, history and 3D.
