Sodena TurboWin Chart plotter

Sodena TurboWin Chart plotter is the most popular charting system available to date. Features include: ARPA, AIS, Depth, Main and Second Ship,3D View, 2D Views, Decca Lanes and Tidal streams

The ease of use and simple graphic display of the charts and fishing information, have been designed with the needs of Captains in mind. No need to click small hard to read icons, or hundreds of menu's to get what you.

With the most common used functions available on the bottom of the display at all times, such as zoom, cursor, and zoom able window, and the unique ship button, which brings you back to the ships position in one click, this allows the user to explore the other charts and look at relevant information and then if he needs to get back to the ship, one simple click does the trick.

With compatible radar, ARPA options are available which will track other ships or targets on the TurboWin screen, you simply acquire the target on your radar and the information is automatically sent to the TurboWin system, from there you will have there position, lat/long speed over the ground and course over the ground displayed, as well as TurboWin keeping a track of the target.

AIS is also available, this is similar to ARPA, as an option TurboWin can be connected to a AIS unit, and the information that the AIS receives displayed on the TurboWin, allowing you to view Ships' MMSI, Call sign as well as Lat/Long, speed and course over the ground, and the ability to track the vessel.

TurboWin also allows you to display a 3D representation of the bottom, and when linked with a compatible sounder, such as the new JFV 300 black box sounder can display bottom hardness, as well as depth etc. When the 3D is linked to the sounder, it sees what the sounder sees and will remap the depth etc, so that it is constantly updating to give you a true 3D view of the bottom.

There is also no need to sacrifice your viewable display area, as you can have the normal TurboWin display on one screen, and have the 3D view on a separate screen, all controlled by the one mouse and keyboard!

Some Unique features of the 3D view are:
  • The ability to zoom and scroll 360 degrees around the bottom and below the ship, to completely view the ground below you.
  • The 3D view will also follow your zoom and scroll patterns on the normal chart. This means you can go look at the entrance to a harbour and the 3D will follow you and show you the mouth of the harbour and if any known peaks etc are there.
  • Customisable colours are available on the 3D view. You can set up your own colours for land, sea etc, plus also set colours for all depths, giving you better contour lines on the 3D view at whatever depth you need, millions of colours means its completely user customisable.

2D View is also available

You don't need a separate screen for this, as it is overlaid onto the original chart, also allowing you to set-up the colours for different depths.

Tidal Streams available

Tidal streams are over-laid onto the chart and will show you tide directions, speed of tide and you can ask the system when high tide and low tide will occur. No more searching in Tidal books, when it is right there in front of you.

A unique feature is also to ask the system about tides, it will show you days, weeks and hours before and behind the current time and date.
