Sonartron Boost Friel Empire !!!

Conall Sweeney from Sonartron Limited, is proud to announce their involvement in Mr. Patrick Friels latest entpreneurial endeavour the Sanmar II. Providing consultation to Mr.Friel every step of the way with this project as he has a long standing business and friendship with Sonartron.
Sonartron Limited provided the full electronic equipment package to the Snamar II, making this latest edition to the inshore fleet the most technically advanced crabber built.
Included in the array of equipment installed and commissioned on the Sanmar II: is one Sonartron GPS/GYRO, this particular GPS/GYRO has proven to provide, stable, reliable and most importantly real-time heading and postion information to any size of vessel. The GPS/GYRO will feed heading information to a Navitron NT921 MKII Autopilot complete with a standalone rudder command unit. GMDSS requirements have been fulfilled with a package that includes 2 Icom M421 waterproof VHF's with DSC, combing a large backlight display with simple key operations and up to 70 programmable channels, channel selection available from both the display and mic unit. Crisp and clear audio is an outstanding feature on the M421 from the built in speaker, position information will also be fed to the M421 from a koden antenna. A NASA Navtext Pro is the paperless unit, that is very east to read with a digital display which will allow the Sanmar II to receive weather information and navigation warnings. One Icom M31 Handheld waterproof VHF, as with most Icom's this unit is proving very popular among Sonartron customers, with features like self diagnosis function for internal temperature, battery voltage and water instrusion detection.
A space saving desktop charger comes as standard along with auto backlight and power level indicator.
The M31 is waterproof to a depth of 1m for an absolute maximum of 30 minutes. A Sonartron Search And Rescue Transponder (SART) and GME Float Free Epirb programmed with the Sanmar II details are also fitted.
A JRC JNAV 500 GPS unit complete with 12-channel receiver has also been fitted to this vessel. This GPS is both very accurate and the disply is comfortable to the user's eye with large digital readout of vessel's Lat/Long, while still remaining practical to the fishing sector with various selectable screens including a mini plot system, which can store up to 500 waypoints and has a MOB function.

One Sonartron TurboWin Electronic Chart System is alos installed on the Sanmar II. This plotter runs on a Dell PC, which uses the new HT technology, complete with chart database of Ireland and Scotland, Tidal streams and ARPA module.

To Compliment all the new technology onboard, Sonartron have installed the 3D Module on a seperate display and to give bottom discrimination and depth information to the TurboWin 3D, a Black Box JRC JFV 130 sounder at dual frequencies of 28Khz and 50Khz has been installed.

JRC systems feature strongly on the Sanmar II, the Black Box 130, is the latest offering in advanced black box technology from JRC and featuring bottom lock, constant depth reading with bottom hardness reading, advanced gain controls, fish echo display, user selectable background colors with up to 16 seperate colors to give better definition. The keypad is extremely user friendly, with most options and selections made with the touch of a button.

A Black Box radar again from JRC has been installed by Sonartron, the JMA 5106 Black Box Radar with ARPA module.
The 5106 is a fantastic radar for any type of vessel. Featuring user configurable display for day or night viewing, almost all of the screen can be setup with different colours according to the user's prefernce.
The truly unique slim line keypad for this radar, is designed in such a way, that is 'one touch' operation. The scanner speed can be configured and different profiles can be saved, allowing the user to change and save various profiles and settings easily.
All JRC Black box equipment are purposely designed with advanced graphics chipsets, and Sonartron have installed Neovo Monitors on the Sanmar II which feature a protective glass front, and tinted glass for easy viewing in hard conditions.
Sonartron Limited have been distributing Neovo monitors for over fours years, and as the demand and popularity has grown for these monitors, many vessels are now choosing Neovo monitors as standard.
